On Monday, June 19, the foreign ministers of Poland’s Zbigniew Rau and Rwanda’s Dr Vincent Biruta signed an agreement that will lead to the provision of diplomatic training for diplomats.

The bilateral agreement was signed at the Warsaw Conference of Ambassadors as reported by the New Times.

The academy will aim to provide professional training to Rwandan diplomats and support the establishment of the Rwandan Diplomatic Academy.

The ministers’ discussions covered a range of topics, with a focus on promoting economic exchange and cooperation in the agricultural, engineering, and IT sectors.

Additionally, they emphasized the significance of pursuing fresh opportunities for cooperation while maintaining ongoing Polish projects and investments in Rwanda. Notably, the implementation of prior agreements on cybersecurity and education, signed in 2021, took centre stage during the discussions.
