KNOW THIS AS WELL
Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor has turned 96 years today.
Although on 21st of April is when the Queen was born, it’s not on this day when the actual birthday party is held. Celebrations are pushed to June.

This tradition started in 1748 when King George II reigned, the King’s birthday took place in autumn and the weather was not good for a large public celebration, that’s why the monarch’s birthday celebration was shifted to summertime
The Monarch’s birthdate is 21st April 1926 and she usually celebrates it in private with her family.
On her birthday gun salutes are shot to mark the occasion but the fun fare is saved for her official birthday celebrations in June
This ceremony is performed by the British regiments and the commonwealth armies.
